One of the most important tourist attractions in the Marche region. Every year, the city of Loreto welcomes a huge number of religious pilgrims and tourists.

The pilgrimage is also famous, with many faithful beginning their journey on foot from the city of Macerata to the city of Loreto.

The town is famous worldwide because its Basilica houses the Sanctuary of the Holy House.

The city stands atop a gentle hill, surrounded by open countryside. Even from a distance, the dome and bell tower of the Basilica are clearly visible, towering in height and majesty. At the top of the Basilica stands a statue of the Virgin Mary. The view stretches from the sea to Monte Conero, all the way to the Umbria-Marche Apennines.
